NXTGEN are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and highly regarded organisation in Peterborough who are looking for a talented Credit Controller to join their team. Our client, a leading business with a strong local presence, is seeking a dedicated professional to take ownership of their credit control function, ensuring payments are received on time, aged debt is minimised, and customer relationships are maintained.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments.

  • Monitor and reduce aged debt by resolving queries promptly and effectively.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to facilitate payment and resolve disputes.

  • Work closely with internal departments to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.

  • Produce regular reports on debtors and provide updates to senior management.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and credit terms.

  • Assist with setting and reviewing credit limits for customers.



About You:

You will have proven experience in a credit control or similar role, with strong communication and negotiation skills to handle challenging conversations professionally. Your organisational skills and attention to detail will ensure accuracy, while your proactive approach to problem-solving and results-driven mindset will support timely collections. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, along with the ability to work independently and prioritise tasks, is essential.

Salary: 25'000 - 28'000 depending on experience.
