Field Electrical Service Engineer required. Our client specialises in the design and manufacture of advanced, precise, high-value-added and engineered-to-order Manufacturing Solutions. This would be for machinery for grinding and lathes and other tool manufacturing. They are now looking for a Field Electrical Service Engineer due to the growth of the business. As this position is nationwide with international work, candidates can be based anywhere in the UK.

Successful candidates will be Mechanical / Electrical engineers with a passion towards supporting the aviation industry, both civil and military. Candidates must be happy with national/international travel as well as staying away up to 90% of the time. Successful candidates will also rebuild, service, calibrate and test machinery.



Field Electrical Service Engineer Position Overview

  • UK and International service and repair of specialist machine tooling, used within the aviation industry
  • Majority of servicing will be pre-planned in advance with very little call out
  • Being the face of the business, you will be expected to offer excellent customer service and show patience when required
  • You will be servicing on aviation sites (both civil and military), you could be away for periods of up to 3 weeks at a time
  • You will be required to arrange your own flights and hotels


Field Electrical Service Engineer Position Requirements

  • Qualified Electrical or mechanical engineer who's passionate about aviation.
  • Experience in a similar role is desirable.
  • Advantageous to hold a recognised engineering apprenticeship
  • Previous experience within field-based servicing is essential
  • Must be happy to travel internationally and ideally you will have experience of working internationally


Field Electrical Service Engineer Position Remuneration

  • Salary: £42,586.44 per annum with overtime paid at basic rate over a 37-hour week (pay reviewed annually, next review due on 1st October 2024)
  • OTE £60,000 - £70,000
  • Working hours: 37-hour week
  • Holiday Package: 25 days + 8BH
  • Company vehicle, laptop and phone are provided
  • All hours are paid from the moment you leave your house until you return home - this includes flights
  • Travel bonus paid if you are away from base for 21 days and over
  • Generous subsistence allowance
  • Pension
