My Client is looking for an electrically biased engineer to join a critical maintenance team at a datacentre that powers one of the UKS leading banking organizations.
Shift rotation is on 4 on 4 off rota (Days & nights)
7am - 7pm and 7 pm - 7 am
Salary: up to 48K
This role focuses on maintaining and optimizing electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation plant systems with responsibilities including:
- Performing maintenance, repairs, and calibration to ensure reliability
- Meeting key performance indicators and service standards
- Coordinating with external contractors and suppliers when needed
- Completing required documentation and reports accurately and on time
- Adhering to company policies and safety procedures
- Reporting deficiencies in work systems or equipment
Requirements and Skills
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification in Engineering Maintenance
- Knowledge of building Statutory Compliance
- Understanding of Health and Safety at Work Act (1974)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
Specialized Experience (Highly Desirable)
- Experience with critical assets like UPS and Standby Generators
- Low Voltage Appointed Person certification
