Butler Rose public practice are excited to be supporting a modern and growing accountancy firm in Peterborough. This is a forward thinking, modern firm who priorities client relationships.

As a modern firm, they offer a hybrid, flexible working environment which works around core hours of 10am - 4pm. As such, you must take responsibility for your workload and ensure all work is completed efficiently and in advance of deadlines.

Role Responsibilities

  • Managing a portfolio of diverse sole trader, limited company, and partnership accounts.
  • Manage the client relationships, client meetings, and account reviews.
  • Overseeing the delivery of all services to your portfolio of clients including:
  • Preparation of year end and management accounts
  • Bookkeeping
  • Management accounts
  • Payroll
  • CIS
  • VAT
  • Reviews of annual statutory accounts and corporation tax computations
  • Investigating and responding to technical accounting queries

Personal Requirements

  • An accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)/due to qualify within 6 months/Qualified by Experience
  • Experience and working knowledge of bookkeeping, management accounts, statutory accounts and finance processes
  • 4+ years' experience working within an accountancy practice
  • Excellent client service skills, including the ability to build trust and rapport quickly
