Due to continued growth we are seeking to speak to experienced estimators to join one of largest new build residential businesses in the UK. You will be responsible to pricing and presenting quotations directly to in house teams across the country. Focussing on timber frame projects for multi unit sites, your background in estimating different timber elements (frame, joist or truss) will be essential as you will be expected to offer knowledge & support to the wider business!
Your duties as an estimator will include:
- Attend pre start & pre tender meetings with other internal departments
- Review any variations on new sites
- Liaise with sub contractors to gain quotes and review
- Working alongside a commercial team
- Ensure tenders are submitted on time and to a high standard
- Explain any cost movements within project valuations
We would welcome conversations with estimators who:
- Have a background in estimating timber projects - frame, truss or joist
- Are able to read from design drawings and produce high quality quotes
- Can work well on your own and within a team
- Possess strong communication skills across different levels
- Hold experience with different software packages such as MS Office
