Occupational Health TechnicianLocation: Peterborough and surrounding areaSalary: £24,000 - £26,000 per annum Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (typically 8:30 am – 5:00 pm)

Our client is seeking an Occupational Health Technician to join their expanding team. You will drive a Mobile Screening unit to client sites in and around the Peterborough area, however flexibility when required to travel across the UK to deliver vital health surveillance services. 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Health Surveillance:

    • Conduct health screening procedures including audiometry, lung function testing, and baseline measurements (height, weight, blood pressure, urinalysis)
    • Perform drug and alcohol testing (with appropriate training)
  • Clinical Support:

    • Accurately record all medical information in occupational health records
    • Ensure that biometric data is passed on to the relevant clinical staff for informed decision-making
    • Maintain and ensure all equipment is clean, serviceable, and fit for purpose
  • Team & Administrative Support:

    • Assist with additional tasks such as health promotion activities
    • Provide support with non-clinical duties (e.g., filing, tidying) to help the department run smoothly
    • Collaborate effectively within the occupational health team to ensure accurate and comprehensive data collection
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  •  Ability to prioritize your workload and manage your time effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal skills; approachable with strong interpersonal abilities
  •  Knowledge in health surveillance techniques and health promotion
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and capable of working independently 
  • Driving: A valid manual driving license
