We are looking for an IT specialist to join a large MSP working as an IT Asset Management Analyst. The role is Urgent so he ability to start ASAP would be advantageous.

The primary function of the role is to assist the Senior IT Asset Management Analyst with the operation of Asset Management function.

Key responsibilities:

  • Accurate data entry into customers CMDB.
  • Generate and distribute various reports, including compliance reports on current assets and their status.
  • Attend customer meetings when required.
  • Understand and manage IT Asset Disposals.
  • Manage inventory of assets as they compare to the CMDB, including dependencies and attributes, making sure that installations, moves and changes are correctly recorded in the centralised CMDB.
  • Support and implement policies, systems, processes, and standards related to how IT assets are managed controlled and protected, on a daily and a long-term basis.
  • Perform verification and audit to validate content and initiate corrective actions as required.

Qualifications:

  • Experience of working with a Configuration Management Data Base (CMDB) and working with asset information.
  • Some knowledge of IT Service Management and how Asset Management interacts with the different functions.
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel.

Security clearance:

Advantageous if a candidate already holds security clearance – BPSS as a minimum or SC level. However, if no current clearance in place they should be eligible and willing to go through the process. This will be mandatory to work on the contract.
