- Provide accurate and efficient front-of-house services, including desk-based, roaming, and remote support.
- Prepare the service desk, handle enquiries, and signpost to other teams as needed.
- Offer advice on the use of library systems and equipment and troubleshoot basic issues.
- Process requests for digitised content in line with copyright legislation.
- Assist with stock maintenance, including shelving, displays, and promotional activities.
- Support the Library Service in both front office and back-office functions.
- Ensure the smooth running of library spaces, reporting equipment faults and monitoring the environment.
- Provide basic customer service training to Student Library Assistants.
- Good communication at all levels and a proactive attitude.
- Strong IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office.
- Experience in a customer-focused environment.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work within established processes.
- Friendly, approachable, and confident in acting independently and proactively.
