About the Role:
We are currently seeking a highly organised and proactive Logistics Assistant to support the Head of Logistics in managing and coordinating vehicle movements across the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with excellent communication, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities, looking to contribute to a smooth and efficient operation within a growing company. Your role will involve liaising across departments, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing logistical support for fleet management and stock control.
Key Responsibilities:
路 Coordinate and assist in the planning of vehicle movements across the UK.
路 Collaborate with different internal teams to meet client needs and ensure smooth operations.
路 Keep records up to date to maintain compliance with regulations and company procedures.
路 Assist with internal and external audits to ensure ISO standards are maintained.
路 Support the management of the Grey and Hire vehicle fleet, ensuring all vehicles are safe, compliant, and serviced as required.
路 Serve as the first point of contact for vehicle breakdowns.
路 Travel across the UK when needed, sometimes at short notice and potentially including overnight stays.
路 Assist with managing stock, equipment, and consumables, ensuring they are appropriately maintained and replenished.
路 Provide support to various teams including logistics, maintenance, and equipment across all company sites.
What We're Looking For:
路 Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
路 Self-motivated, adaptable, and dependable with a strong work ethic.
路 Experience in fleet and asset management as well as handling consumables is beneficial.
路 High proficiency in IT, particularly Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), and internal database systems.
路 Strong decision-making abilities and a problem-solving mindset.
路 The ability to work under pressure while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
路 A full driving licence is preferred.
路 Flexibility and willingness to travel across the UK as required.
Additional Information:
路 Work Location: On-site at the Peterborough office.
路 Commuting/Relocation: You must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate to Peterborough before starting.
