About the role

Working within the Supply Chain team As a Production Planner you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective flow of products through the supply chain. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute supply chain strategies, manage inventory levels, and drive improvements in our supply chain processes.

About client
Our client is heavily investing in redeveloping the site after a recent acquisition, due to this expansion and additional retailers coming onboard, as they continue to grow, we are seeking a talented and passionate Supply Chain Planner to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety policies and procedures across the site.
Oversee the production schedule to enhance efficiency and meet delivery deadlines. Monitor inventory levels, address discrepancies, and ensure the accuracy of master data in stock management systems. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure material availability for production needs.
Supervise site waste management and pallet pooling activities. Address slow-moving stock by developing action plans and manage stock-at-risk reports. Conduct monthly stock reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
Plan and oversee the transportation of frozen and chilled products to third-party logistics providers (3PLs). Work with the Warehouse team to ensure accurate physical counts, adjustments, and cycle counting.
Contribute to monthly environmental reporting and nitrogen management efforts. Provide operational support for customer credit processing and investigations.

Previous experience:

  • Proven experience in supply planning and inventory management within the food industry
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and software
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Detail-oriented and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of ERP and MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Rubicon etc.) M3, Op Central is an advantage
