Emissions Certification Engineer - Peterborough (Hybrid) - Up to £33/hr - Inside IR35 (Could increase for exceptional candidates)

Jonathan Lee Recruitment is helping one of the world’s leading manufacturers of off-highway machinery and diesel and natural gas engines find an Emissions Certification Engineer, and the hybrid role comes with a contract rate of £33.00 per hour.
This is a key role that directly enables our client to sell engines to regulated countries whilst ensuring they robustly adhere to global emissions regulatory standards.
Responsibilities will include:
- Deploying a clear explanation of engine emissions certification requirements, the associated legal obligations and business processes
- Coaching associated business areas on certification requirements to ensure timely execution of certification work streams
- Leading the execution of engine emissions certifications from receipt of request, through certificate received, to emissions label implementation
- Maintaining owned emissions certificates and associated labels through life of production
- Developing / fostering a collaborative relationship with global governmental agency representatives
To apply for this Emissions Certification Engineer role, your soft skills, expertise and experience should include:
- Hands on experience in obtaining engine emissions certification
- Proven ability to instigate and successfully lead parallel work streams to firm timing and quality targets
- An engineering or legal education / background
- Strong moral compass. A passion for doing things right and to a high standard
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse functional areas and remote centres of business
- Ability and interest in digesting regulatory materials
- Confident and effective communicator - able to articulate the focus on compliance, and to challenge the status quo where necessary, to establish the facts.
You'll receive an excellent contract per-hour rate of £33.00 in return for your knowledge, expertise and flexibility.
