Your next role is:

  • Full time, temporary to permanent teaching position working with a SEN class of up to 8 pupils.

And involves:

  • Working alongside pupils aged 5 - 16 years of age, each with their own specific IEP (Individual Education Plan).
  • Working as part of a team, including liaising with teachers, support staff and external agencies to support the learning, behaviour, physical and emotional well-being of students.
  • Providing practical support for learning, educational activities, developing social skills and integration.
  • Liaising with Teaching Assistant’s, who have been assigned to the class (2 TA’s minimum).

What we’re looking for:

  • QTS, PGCE, FE, QTLS or equivalent qualification/experience.
  • Experience in teaching pupils with additional needs, autism would be particularly advantageous.
  • Resilience, ability to see through and overcome challenging behaviours to ensure each pupil receives their full education entitlement.
  • Ability to build good rapport with pupils, staff and external professionals.
