An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Category Management team for an Assistant Category Manager. This role involves using a bespoke ranging system, alongside analysis of performance data and market insight, to support the Category Manager in creating, reviewing, and implementing magazine ranges and planograms for retail clients.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Support the Category Manager in the creation, review, and implementation of magazine ranges and planograms for retail clients.
  • Ensure all communication with Retail, Wholesale, and other key stakeholders is timely and accurate.
  • Responsible for accurate reporting against KPIs and handling other ad hoc requests to support the wider Category Management team.
  • Although primarily office-based with flexibility for working from home, the role may require occasional travel to meet with Publishers and Retailers.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Excellent timekeeping and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong Excel Skills - Pivot Tables & VLOOKUPS
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and organisational skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates ownership, proactivity, and enthusiasm.
  • Flexibility to adapt approach depending on the situation.
