Key Responsibilities of a Construction Tutor:
- Deliver practical and theoretical construction training to students, covering a wide range of skills such as carpentry, bricklaying, metal work, woodwork, and general DIY
- Design and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to various learning styles
- Provide hands-on demonstrations and supervise learners in practical activities
- Assess students' progress, providing constructive feedback and ensuring they meet industry standards
- Ensure a safe and productive learning environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Support and mentor students to build confidence in their construction skills, preparing them for careers in the industry
What we're looking for in a Construction Tutor:
- Experience in the construction industry, with strong hands-on skills in DIY and a variety of trades
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex techniques clearly
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to plan and deliver structured training sessions
