Reed Finance are working on an exclusive basis with a highly reputable and well-established manufacturing company based in Peterlee.  As the Accounting Manager you will work closely with the Site Financial Controller, ensuring accurate accounting, compliance with legal obligations and Group standards, and manage the accounting departments within the scope of responsibility.  Ideally you will have experience working in a fast-paced environment and have working knowledge of SAP.

Role Overview:

Accounting Supervision:

  • Oversee accounting for entities within scope.
  • Coordinate monthly reporting and monitor accounting information.
  • Implement process improvements and cost reduction measures.
  • Ensure compliance with Group accounting and reporting standards.

Compliance and Procedures:

  • Ensure application of accounting procedures and legal requirements.
  • Propose and implement necessary improvements.
  • Supervise tax declarations and optimize fiscal applications.

External Relations:

  • Manage relationships with auditors and external agents.
  • Organise tasks of external service providers.

Team Management:

  • Prepare action plans and coordinate team missions.
  • Propose and manage annual operating budgets.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and develop team skills.
  • Ensure a positive working environment and team motivation.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Supervise production of mandatory reports.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental protection rules.
