Our client is a wonderful business based in mid-Hampshire. They are looking for a Key Account Executive / Key Account Manager to work strategically with their retail customers. They have industry leading products and brands working with some of the UK's most prestigious retailers. You will work closely with the Sales Director to help manage key accounts and some independent retailers.

Main Duties

  • Day to day liaising with key / major retailers
  • Ensure business review meetings are arranged with key / major buyers on a regular basis to discuss current performance, activities and new line proposals.
  • Organise and run regular face-to face and video meetings with key / major retailers
  • Plan and implement individual customer strategies, analyse performance with Sales Director and agree actions required to ensure continued growth of accounts.
  • Extract sales data weekly from retailer portals and convert into Excel reports for each brand and send to suppliers.
  • Keep Sales & Marketing retailer planning documents up-to-date with live and potential lines and activities.
  • Track progress of new launches and projects with major retailers.
  • Collate customer's own forecasts and review with Director to ensure updates are made to our system.
  • Work with Sales Director to track major retailer sales against forecast and adjust live forecast documents monthly.
  • Communicate and manage product updates with key account / major retail customers
  • Regularly review listings of our brands both online and in store to ensure adequate stock levels
  • Coordinate brand promotions with retailers and internal team members
  • Assist Director with collating and analysing sales figures and review further opportunities within new and current key retailer accounts.
  • Ensure good geographical coverage of products in independent retailers and best possible representation of our brands.
  • Visit relevant accounts when required, to present new lines and check merchandising and POS solutions

Skills and Knowledge

  • Previous retail account management experience
  • Experience of developing accounts and customer relationships
  • Well organised, able to manage own time
  • Good data analysis and data interpretation skills
  • Good knowledge Excel (advanced level would be desirable)
  • Marketing and sales experience is an advantage
  • Good at collaborating with internal and external teams
  • Full UK Driving Licence
