Baltic Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a leading international plastic injection moulding business, who supply world class products to their global customer with their search for a Quality Engineer.
Key Duties:
- Ensure the calibration system is in adherence to the systems or customer specific requirements.
- Carry out product measurements using the coordinate measurement machine (CMM) and laser scanner.
- Ensure that all reports are formatted to requirements and analysis is completed prior to distribution.
- Coordinate and plan laboratory tasks.
- Complete product validation tests to customer standards.
- Review of customer test standards and update of internal testing procedures.
- Maintain the documented laboratory scope.
- Coach and guide others on the correct use of gauging in the manufacturing environment.
- Coordinate measurement systems analysis and statistical process control studies.
Key Skills, Experience & Qualifications Required:
- Degree, HND or HNC in an engineering or technical discipline.
- Works with precision and attention to detail.
- Proficient in the use of coordinate measurement machines (CMM) and the use of PCDIMS (or similar) software.
- Experience with optical measurement.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Experience with problem solving techniques.
- Minimum 2 years' service in a similar role.
The Package:
- £28,000 - £30,000 per annum.
- Day shift role, Monday-Friday.
