Baltic Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a leading international plastic injection moulding business, who supply world class products to their global customer with their search for a Quality Engineer.

Key Duties:

  • Ensure the calibration system is in adherence to the systems or customer specific requirements.
  • Carry out product measurements using the coordinate measurement machine (CMM) and laser scanner.
  • Ensure that all reports are formatted to requirements and analysis is completed prior to distribution.
  • Coordinate and plan laboratory tasks.
  • Complete product validation tests to customer standards.
  • Review of customer test standards and update of internal testing procedures.
  • Maintain the documented laboratory scope.
  • Coach and guide others on the correct use of gauging in the manufacturing environment.
  • Coordinate measurement systems analysis and statistical process control studies.

Key Skills, Experience & Qualifications Required:

  • Degree, HND or HNC in an engineering or technical discipline.
  • Works with precision and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in the use of coordinate measurement machines (CMM) and the use of PCDIMS (or similar) software.
  • Experience with optical measurement.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with problem solving techniques.
  • Minimum 2 years' service in a similar role.
