  • The salary for this position ranges from £25,000.00 to £28,000.00, and candidates are expected to have relevant experience.

Our client who is in the construction sector who provide materials and services as required is looking to grow the accounts and finance team due to growth in the business. Working in a modern office environment, this role is ideal for a candidate who is keen to work for a business that invests in their staff and will offer future progression to Management Accounts level in the future.

You will enjoy responsibility as you will support the overall day-to-day running of the Accounts & Finance department ensuring a seamless operation is executed.

Day to day duties include…

Accounts Payable

  • Setting up new suppliers.
  • Posting supplier invoices
  • Posting and reconciliation of staff expenses
  • Generate supplier payments as required
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements to creditors
  • Cash posting and allocation
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Balance sheet reconciliation
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Posting accruals and prepayment journals
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive best practices and process efficiencies
  • Promote and drive strong relationships with all departments

Accounts Receivable

  • Setting up new customer accounts
  • Credit control duties i.e. chasing customer payments

Qualifications Skills & Experience

  • AAT qualified, a stopped studier or equivalent

  • Experience in an accounts and finance function previously
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Evidence of building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and internal teams
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel
  • Ability to learn inhouse systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working Hours

  • Monday – Friday.
  • 9am – 5pm with 30 minutes break.

Salary

  • £25,000.00 - £28,000.00
