GSL Education is seeking a number of compassionate and experienced Pastoral Leads to join highly regarded schools in Pinner. This role offers an exciting opportunity to take on a vital position where you will make a meaningful impact on the lives of students, fostering their well-being and academic success.

 

Key Responsibilities as a Pastoral Lead:

  • Student Welfare: Provide effective pastoral support to ensure the emotional, social, and academic well-being of students.
  • Behaviour Management: Oversee and implement behaviour strategies and interventions to create a positive school culture.
  • Mentoring and Guidance: Support students in developing coping strategies, personal resilience, and life skills.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with parents, teachers, and external agencies to address individual student needs.
  • Leadership: Supervise and coordinate pastoral staff, promoting best practices in student care and inclusion.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student behaviour, attendance, and interventions.
  • School Safeguarding: Act as a key figure in promoting the safeguarding and protection of students in line with statutory guidance.

Requirements for Pastoral Lead:

  • Experience in Pastoral Care: A strong background in student welfare or related roles within an educational setting.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families.
  • Empathy and Sensitivity: A genuine commitment to supporting student well-being with a nurturing and understanding approach.
  • Teamwork: Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Flexibility: Ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of students and the school environment.
  • Safeguarding Commitment: Enhanced child workforce DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
