The Role:We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join a thriving secondary school in Harrow. This role, starting in January, is ideal for a compassionate individual who has experience working with Special Educational Needs (SEN) students. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students with additional needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN, ensuring their individual needs are met
  • Work alongside subject teachers to deliver engaging and accessible lessons for students with additional needs
  • Support students with conditions such as ASD, ADHD, or emotional and learning difficulties, helping them stay engaged and focused
  • Assist with implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and provide feedback to the SENCo and teaching staff
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
  • Help students develop their social skills and build confidence in a secondary school setting
