BALLINTAGGART COMMIS CHEF AT THE GRANDTULLY HOTEL

FULL TIME: (48hrs pw)

LOCATION: PERTHSHIRE

REPORTS TO:HEAD CHEF, THE GRANDTULLY HOTEL

We are excited to be recruiting for a dynamic, personable, and hardworking Commis chefto be a key partof ourfunand enthusiastic team. You will be integral in the growth of the business and play a key role in delivering breakfast, lunch and dinner to our guests.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assist the kitchen team in food preparation.
  • Responsible for day to day running ofcertainsections within the kitchen.
  • Maintaining constant quality control of all food.
  • Have a strong understanding of working efficiently within a busy kitchen and following Ballintaggart recipes.
  • Ensuring all cleaning and maintenance documents are completed daily and digitally stored , in line with industryregulations.
  • Following cleaning and hygiene protocols within the kitchen following our agreed HACCP
  • Gaining a sound understanding of stock rotation and ensure stock is being used accordingly.
  • Gaining a good understandingof every aspect of the Ballintaggart brand, including Crop Production, Feast Events and The Cook School by Ballintaggart.

Key Skills & Requirements

  • Level 1 Food Safety & Hygiene Certificate
  • Awareness of manual handling techniques
  • Awareness of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH) and chemical safety?
  • Strong communication skills
  • Team work skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Enthusiasm to develop your own skills and knowledge plus assisting with the development of other kitchen team members
  • Adaptable to change and willingness to embrace new ideas and processes
  • Ability to work unsupervised and deliver quality work, in what can sometimes be a pressurised environment, thinking on your feet when necessary
  • Positive and approachable manner
