Wise Employment are seeking a Payroll Specialistfor a world-renowned manufacturer who pride themselves on pushing the boundaries of innovation and foster a culture of excellence and collaboration.

As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the whole payroll process for the company with over 350 staff.  You will also need to ensure that the company is compliant with all UK tax regulations.

Key role requirements as a Payroll Specialist:

  • Accurately prepare and process monthly payroll for all employees, including salaried and hourly.
  • Review and verify timekeeping records and resolve discrepancies with department heads or employees.
  • Accurately calculate of wages, overtime, shift allowances, bonuses, deductions and tax are applied.
  • Handle payroll adjustments and retroactive payments as needed.
  • Auto enrolment/pensions
  • Assist with BACS transmissions
  • HMRC liaisons
  • SMP/ SSP and other statutory payments
  • P11D, P45’s, P46’s, P60’s
  • Assist with yearend payroll processes, including reconciliations and tax documentation.

Qualifications, skills and knowledge:

  • Recognised qualification such as CIPP / AAT or equivalent
  • Proficient in SAP & Excel is essential
  • You will need experience of complex payroll runs and shift payments, preferably within a manufacturing or engineering company.
  • You will have strong analytical and problem solving skills and be able to handle sensitive and confidential information.
