The Energy Division at ARM are currently recruiting an experienced Principal Design Engineer to join a leading Nuclear Defence company in Plymouth working on a large-scale infrastructure project.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • 6-8+ years' experience of designing a mechanical services / process system.
  • Experience of working in a highly regulated industry, strong preference to nuclear.
  • Understanding of hydraulic / pressure calculations.
  • Understanding of hazard identification and analysis associated with process systems (e.g. HAZID, HAZOP etc)
  • BEng/BSc in mechanical engineering or similar degree.
  • Experience checking design documentation.
  • Line management experience of 3+ direct reports.

Highly Desirable:

  • SC already
  • Masters' education
  • CEng or working towards
