Mego Employment are thrilled to announce a fantastic opportunity for a talented and motivated Application Engineer to join our client's Engineering team in the beautiful ocean city of Plymouth.

We're on the lookout for an enthusiastic and passionate engineer to bring their expertise to the table, providing technical support to customers and the distribution network for some of the world's most innovative engineering projects.

We're seeking a degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer who is professional, disciplined, and detail-oriented, with excellent problem-solving skills.

The ideal candidate should appreciate NPI and APQP, be skilled in Project Management, have some knowledge of hydraulic components (a plus), write clear technical reports, and understand manufacturing processes and measurement techniques

The role -

  • Support Sales Managers with technical aspects of new business opportunities.
  • Interpret and develop customer specifications to create prototype products.
  • Collaborate with international colleagues to ensure designs meet market needs.
  • Provide product training and support to OEM customers and distributors.
  • Assist customers during the startup and commissioning of equipment using hydraulic components and systems.
  • Offer engineering support to internal stakeholders
  • Support quality and strategic purchasing teams with material selection and standards comparisons.
  • Develop engineering procedures and methods to optimize value within the team.
  • Create 3D models, 2D drawings, and bills of material.

  • Occasional travel within the UK and overseas to provide support.
