Senior Building Surveyor Temp Opportunity via BRC Jobs:                Senior Building Surveyor   Location:        Cornwall & Devon  Sector:            Property and Housing Job Type:        Temporary Contract 3 Months +  37 hours per week Hourly rate:    £28 PAYE w/ holiday pay or £33 Umbrella  We are looking for a senior surveyor on a contract basis to support and lead building surveyors in managing repairs and maintenance projects  Main Responsibilities:  
  1. Guide and develop a team of Regional Building Surveyors to tackle complex repairs, ensuring quality and safety of customers’ homes
  2. Collaborate with contractors, clients, and in-house teams to maintain housing stock to the highest standards
Liaise with customers to provide technical advice and guidance based on repairs and maintenance works being carried out
  1. Identify trends with property issues and suggest resolutions with programmed delivery.
  2. Promote professional development for team members. Hold regular one-to-one meetings with team members.
  3. Undertake internal and external property condition surveys against set criteria, specifically the Decent Homes Standard and the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS).
  4. Ensure appropriate property energy efficiency data is collected during surveys to enable the calculation of SAP ratings.
  5. Assess and advise on appropriate energy efficiency measures in accordance with PAS 2035.
  6. Ensure surveyors work safely and within the health and safety requirements.
  7. Effectively manage, plan, investigate and resolve complaints in accordance with the complaint’s procedure.
  Job Requirements
  • HND/HNC or equivalent qualification
  • Experience managing, guiding and supporting a team
  • A driver with access to own vehicle
