Project Manager – PlymouthA leading, locally based contractor operating within public and private sectors constructing some of the region’s most innovative and landmark buildings are looking to strengthen their team with the appointment of an experienced Project Manager responsible for Defence contracts.  The Project Manager is to provide the critical link between client, Project Team, supply chain and Pre-con team to ensure that all defence projects are delivered to programme whilst achieving all deliverables. Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing a number of projects under one umbrella as part of a framework contract
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered to very high standard and achieve all deliverables
  • Take full ownership of all aspects of the defence projects
  • Manage supply chain and develop strong relationships
  • Ability to liaise and manage both the internal and external project teams
  • Ensure high levels of Health & Safety and successful delivery of the Defence process
  • Ensure Health & Safety is a top priority
  • Keep up to date with industry changes and legislation that will affect tenders
  • Provide regular feedback to the other members of the team
  • Chair and deliver review meetings
Skills:
  • Ability to complete and obtain any advanced DBS certificate
  • Ability to pass stringent security checks
  • Hold a valid UK driving licence
  • SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid at Work
  • Good programming skills, Asta and Project an advantage
