Indirect Contracts Specialist

This role is a permanent Full Time role based in Plymouth. Your Key Responsibilities:
- Minimize spend and inventory while ensuring timely delivery.
- Secure the best total price and service levels.
- Provide cover for the Direct Purchasing Manager when needed.
- Identify and implement strategies for reducing expenditure.
- Build strong relationships and assess potential new suppliers.
- Adhere to sourcing policies, risk management, and procurement regulations.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
What You’ll Need:
- A Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Business, Supply Chain Management, Law, or a related field.
- CIPS Level 5+ (preferred but not essential).
Experience & Knowledge:
- Background in indirect procurement within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong contract negotiation and supplier management experience.
- Understanding of UK contract and Chancery related law and procurement regulations.
- Experience in leading cross-functional cost-saving projects.
Key Skills:
- Excellent communication & negotiation abilities.
- Strong Excel & SAP proficiency.
- Proactive and analytical mind set with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently & collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
