Indirect Contracts Specialist

This role is a permanent Full Time role based in Plymouth. Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Minimize spend and inventory while ensuring timely delivery.
  • Secure the best total price and service levels.
  • Provide cover for the Direct Purchasing Manager when needed.
  • Identify and implement strategies for reducing expenditure.
  • Build strong relationships and assess potential new suppliers.
  • Adhere to sourcing policies, risk management, and procurement regulations.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.

What You’ll Need:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Business, Supply Chain Management, Law, or a related field.
  • CIPS Level 5+ (preferred but not essential).

Experience & Knowledge:

  • Background in indirect procurement within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong contract negotiation and supplier management experience.
  • Understanding of UK contract and Chancery related law and procurement regulations.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional cost-saving projects.

Key Skills:

  • Excellent communication & negotiation abilities.
  • Strong Excel & SAP proficiency.
  • Proactive and analytical mind set with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently & collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
