Human Factors Engineer SC Cleared12 month+ Contract Plymouth (Remote with occasional travel every 2 weeks) £70 per hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35)

Our market-leading client require a Senior Human Factors Engineer to join their team on a long-term contract.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing support to the Principal HF Engineer and providing professional development to the junior members of the HF team
  • Undertake human factors assessment work i8n support of ergonomic design development, safety assessment and the validation of the human performance elements of high hazard systems
  • Preparing scopes of work, cost estimates and programmes for human factors assessment work
  • Undertake site incident investigations to analyse incidents, identify causes and make recommendations to prevent reoccurrence

Skills Required:

  • Signification experience working in Human Factors departments within high-hazard industries
  • Understanding of both HEART, THERP or APJ
  • Experience working towards nuclear safety assessment principles and safety case productions
  • Understanding in support of engineer system and process design
  • Registered Member of the Charted Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors or Chartered Member of the British Psychological Society
