I'm excited to offer an opportunity for a proactive Credit Control Manager to join my clients team at their Head Office in Plymouth. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient operation of the credit control function, maximising potential revenue, and leading various projects around process improvements, efficiencies, and cost-saving exercises.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Oversee the entire credit control process from initiation to completion.
  • Take charge of recovering outstanding payments and managing debtor accounts.
  • Assist with month-end billing procedures and perform reconciliations for debtor control accounts and intercompany balances.
  • Manage provisions for bad debts and maximise supplier turnover rebates.
  • Analyse revenue from Kitchen and Café operations and support the challenge of credit card chargebacks.
  • Oversee purchase ledger payments, terms, and supplier discounts.
  • Continuously improve processes to enhance efficiency and achieve cost savings.
  • Provide monthly debtor analysis to senior management.
  • Support the preparation of month-end processes and assist with the year-end audit.
  • Undertake additional tasks as required to support the finance team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in credit control, ideally within a commercial setting.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and other financial software.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with various teams.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines with accuracy and efficiency.
  • A proactive approach to challenging and improving existing processes.
