Credit Control ManagerPlymouth | Full-time | Competitive Salary + Benefits

Butler Rose is pleased to be partnering with a thriving organisation undergoing continued expansion and success. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Credit Control Manager to join their head office team based in Plymouth.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the credit control function in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Reporting directly to the Management Accountants, you will play a key role in optimising revenue streams and leading projects centred around process improvements, efficiency gains, and cost-saving initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • lead a small team to oversee the full credit control process from end to end

  • Lead the recovery of outstanding payments

  • Assist with month-end billing and prepare supporting analysis

  • Reconcile debtor control accounts and intercompany balances

  • Manage bad debt provisions and maximise supplier turnover rebates

  • Analyse revenue from all operations

  • Handle and challenge credit card chargebacks

  • Oversee purchase ledger payments, payment terms, and supplier discounts

  • Continuously review and improve internal processes

  • Deliver monthly debtor analysis to senior management

  • Support month-end routines and year-end audit preparations

  • Undertake other ad hoc duties as required

About You:
  • Proven experience in credit control, ideally within a commercial setting

  • Proficient Excel skills

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Capable of working to tight deadlines with precision

  • Confidence to challenge and enhance existing processes
