About the Role:Our client, a well-established and growing company based in Plymouth, is seeking a dedicated Senior Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive individual with strong accounting experience to take the next step in their career. Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain the purchase ledger, ensuring all invoices are processed accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are correctly recorded.
  • Oversee and manage payment runs, ensuring suppliers are paid on time.
  • Take responsibility for pre-payments and accruals, ensuring accurate month-end reporting.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial reports and analysis.
  • Oversee and support junior members of the finance team, offering guidance and ensuring best practices are maintained.
  • Collaborate closely with the senior management team, providing insights and financial updates as required.
About You:The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Proven experience in a similar accounting role.
  • Strong knowledge of purchase ledger, bank reconciliations, payment runs, pre-payments, and accruals.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Previous experience overseeing team members or providing mentorship.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive attitude with a desire to improve processes and enhance efficiency.
