I'm excited to announce an opportunity for a dynamic Overheads Manager to join my clients team at their Head Office in Plymouth. This role is integral to the expansion plans and ongoing success, focusing on managing and optimising their overhead expenses.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Process invoices from suppliers both manually and via our data capture system, ensuring accurate coding to the correct GL code.
  • Conduct reviews of aged creditors and handle associated queries.
  • Perform statement reconciliations and manage supplier enquiries.
  • Carry out bank reconciliations and P&L variance analysis, investigating any discrepancies.
  • Handle day-to-day administrative duties including the processing of weekly expenses.
  • Manage the coding and posting of monthly credit card statements.
  • Conduct full reviews of all P&L overhead codes.
  • Prepare monthly accruals, prepayments, and other journals to support month-end close.
  • Continuously improve processes to enhance efficiency and achieve cost savings.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Prior experience working within a finance office is essential.
  • Recognised accounting qualification.
  • Proven team leadership and people management experience.
  • Strong numeracy skills and the ability to analyse large volumes of data.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in IT, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • An inquisitive mind with the confidence to ask questions to develop knowledge and understanding.
