Title: Maintenance Planner

Location: Plymouth, Devon

Shifts: Monday - Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + benefits package (See below)

My client, a global leader in medical technology, is looking for a passionate and experienced Maintenance Planner to join our team in Plymouth. You'll be part of a dynamic team, playing a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines.

Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed work plans and schedules for preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Gather necessary personnel, tools, and spare parts for scheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Analyze equipment history and maintenance data to improve planning, increase reliability, and reduce downtime.
  • Create, prioritize, and manage work orders within the CMMS system (SAP), ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Work closely with the Maintenance Technical Leader, Spare Parts Coordinator, production, engineering, and procurement teams for efficient communication, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OEE, MTTR, and MTBF to assess maintenance effectiveness.
  • Ensure all planned maintenance activities meet regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Take ownership of all responsibilities outlined in their job description and any relevant procedures or processes.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the overall needs of the business.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record in a technical role within a production environment.
  • Experience in a plant maintenance environment, ideally focusing on production equipment in a high-volume manufacturing setting.
  • Knowledge of maintenance systems and procedures, with SAP experience preferred.
  • Previous experience with maintenance scheduling, task list formulation, and material and resource planning.
  • Understand of EH&S specifications and experience with CMMS systems (preferably SAP PM Master Data)
