Morson are partnering with a large global manufacturing client that has sites across the world, including several sites in the UK. Our client sepoys more than 30,000 people and works across a number of key vertical markets. 

Our client is looking to recruit a HR Manager to be based in the Plymouth area. The role offers flexible working on a hybrid basis, 3 days on site per week. The site has grown over recent years and now requires more HR support. This role will oversee HR for the site, working with managers & leaders to drive best practice. This role reports into the Lead HRBP for this division who's remit spans several UK sites. 

As HR Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of human resources management, ensuring the smooth delivery of the HR function. From recruitment and employee relations to performance management and compliance, you will lead on the day to day HR activity and provide invaluable support to the leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the local HR function, developing and executing strategies to support business objectives.
  • Oversee & support recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies, ensuring the company attracts and retains top talent.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing HR support and guidance to managers and employees across all levels.
  • Drive employee engagement and well-being initiatives, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Manage performance and learning & development programs, supporting employee growth and career progression.
  • Handle employee relations issues with sensitivity and professionalism, promoting a fair and transparent work environment.

About You:

  • Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar HR leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the business.
  • CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, growing business is advantageous.
