DK Recruitment is actively seeking qualified Electrical Fitters to join the team on-site at Devonport Dockyard in Plymouth. This is a 6-month contract, working within the temporary supplies department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation, maintenance, and testing of electrical installations (domestic, commercial, and industrial).
  • Responsive and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Conducting EICRs (Electrical Installation Condition Reports) and completing remedial works.
  • Fault finding and diagnosis.
  • Experience working on and testing switchboards and power pillars.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Using various types of test equipment efficiently.
  • Familiarity with 3-phase systems (desirable).

Qualifications:

  • Minimum City and Guilds Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation.
  • 18th Edition BS7671 certification is mandatory.
  • Testing and inspection qualifications are desirable.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and hold Security Clearance for this role 
  • Only UK Nationals can apply.

Hours of Work:

  • Monday to Thursday: 07:30 - 15:30
  • Friday: 07:30 -  12.30
    (36 standard hours per week, with potential for overtime and shift work)
