- Conducting routine and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to reduce downtime.
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Performing repairs and replacements on worn or faulty components.
- Working closely with the production team to address issues promptly and efficiently.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintaining detailed and accurate maintenance records.
- Recommending improvements and modifications to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Responding to emergency breakdowns in a timely manner.
- Managing all service contracts and 3rd party engineers working onsite to ensure safety compliance.
- Keeping concise records of all compliance and safety checks for the business.Â
- Proven experience in the role, preferably within manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- A proactive, self-motivated, and team-oriented approach.
- Relevant engineering qualifications or certifications (e.g. 18th Edition, HNC, HND, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent).
