Support Maintenance Engineer - Plymouth

Salary: £38,000

Shift: Days - Mon to Fri

Location: Plymouth

Our client is looking for a Support Maintenance Engineer to join their well-established team in Plymouth. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone ideally with a good mechanical background looking to progress within a Maintenance Engineering role or an experienced Engineer within a manufacturing environment seeking a Monday to Friday days role. With a focus on proactive maintenance tasks and projects, this role will allow you to work collaboratively with all parts of the business, as well as making a good a positive impact across the business.

Here's what you'll be doing:

Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks to enable Senior Engineers to focus on reactive tasks

Investigating near misses and safety reports and following up as necessary

Liaising with contractors and supporting off-line repairs/rebuilds

Working with production teams on line improvements

Planning maintenance tasks and identifying parts with the Engineering Manager and Engineering Stores Controller

Assisting shift engineers with reactive maintenance where necessary

The skills and experience you'll bring to the team:

Apprentice trained in an electrical or mechanical discipline desirable with associated qualification

Relevant experience in an engineering role

Meticulous attention to detail

Good communicator, able to accurately document findings

Ability to understand specifications and measure accurately
