An Industrial Automation and Control Engineer with an understanding of Industrial Communication protocols will get involved with a range of tasks from setting up and programming PLC’s, motor drivers and industrial communications to performing fault diagnosis, delivering training and providing technical product support.

To be part of the team you should possess the following:

  • HND or Degree in an Engineering discipline such as Electronics or Mechatronics.
  • 1+ Years’ industrial design / support / testing experience.
  • Knowledge of various electronic applications relating to Industrial Automation and Control applications.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Some knowledge of PLC’s and ladder or Structured Text programming.
  • A good understanding of industrial communications protocols such as EtherNet IP, PROFINET and/or IO-Link.

The role:  The successful Industrial Automation and Control Engineer answer technical questions, assist with customer applications and perform fault diagnosis for a range of products including motion control and/or actuators. You’ll also set up and programme PLC’s. motor drivers and industrial communications, thriving on challenges and possessing confidence to work within a customer / people facing role. You’ll get to create and deliver training courses as well as creating operating manuals. Occasional travel to Europe will be part of the role.
