Quality Control Engineer

Up To £475 per day (via Umbrella)

24 Month Contract

We are working with a global leader in the defence sector who are looking for a Quality Control Engineer to join them for a long-term contract assisting with Quality Control on an ongoing infrastructure project in Plymouth.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure defects are tracked and rectified and manage compliance with employer specifications and instructions.
  • Perform and witness on-site quality control inspections, material testing, and checklist completion during track construction.
  • Support third-party inspections, audits, and certification processes.
  • Preparation of quality-related documentation, Inspection and Test Plans, and provide input for project quality reports, audits, and KPIs.
  • Maintain traceability of materials and records throughout the construction process, ensuring proper documentation and lifetime quality records are archived.

Essential Skills:

  • 5 Years previous experience in quality and inspections in projects of a similar size and complexity.
  • Previous experience in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Fabrication or NDT
  • HND/HNC in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or suitable experience in similar field
