Production Manager
Plymouth, Commutable from: Tavistock, Ivybridge, Saltash, Yelverton

The company are a well-established, highly revered manufacturing company in the Plymouth area with sites across the world that not only are renowned for the quality of their products but also for being a leading and progressive employer within the area. Due to growth, they are currently for a Manager to oversee the Sheet Metal Department. You will be responsible for overseeing multiple production areas, ensuring efficient operations, high-quality output, and promote continuous improvement. This front-line leadership role requires strong management, problem-solving, and proactive decision-making to drive performance and meet business needs.

The Role:
- You will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations by achieving targets, KPI's and efficiency goals. Provide coaching, development, and structured appraisals to ensure team members reach their full potential. Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams (e.g., Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain) to enhance workflow.
- Working hours - 3:00pm to 23:00pm, Monday to Friday
- Salary up to 53,981 (inclusive of 25% shift premium) plus monthly and yearly bonus scheme, life insurance 3x salary, pension contributions matched to 5%, 33 days holiday inc bank holidays with option to purchase additional days
The person:
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong knowledge of health & safety, quality systems, and manufacturing processes including root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
- IT literate
- Understanding of mechanical engineering and manufacturing systems (preferred).
- CMI Level 3 in Management & Leadership or intent to pursue it.
