Mego Employment is working with a well-established manufacturing company in Plymouth known for its precision and quality. They are looking for a thoughtful and experienced Production Manager to lead their team and ensure smooth, efficient operations.



About the Role

The role focuses on improving processes, solving problems, and leading a team to deliver high-quality products efficiently. You will work closely with others to implement practical solutions, support continuous improvement, and help align the team's work with the company's goals.

This is a hands-on position where your ability to guide and develop people, refine processes, and find improvements will make a meaningful impact.



What We're Looking For

We are seeking someone with experience in operational management, ideally in an engineering or precision manufacturing environment. The right person will value quiet focus, clear communication, and steady progress.

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing techniques, such as 5S or Six Sigma.
  • A proven ability to lead teams effectively and improve processes over time.
  • An analytical approach to identifying and solving problems.
  • A calm and clear communicator who works well with people at all levels.
  • Flexibility to occasionally travel within the UK and internationally.

Desirable Attributes:

  • HNC, degree, or similar qualification in Engineering or a related field.
  • Management training, such as ILM Level 5.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards (e.g., ISO9001, ISO14001, or AS9100).
  • Experience with ERP systems, Excel, or other data analysis tools.
