Overview:

As my client continue to expand their payroll offering, they are seeking to recruit a Senior Payroll Advisor to join their friendly and dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned payroll professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional service while managing complex payroll requirements and multiple deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the processing of payroll for multiple clients, ensuring all calculations are accurate and timely.
  • Manage payroll systems and maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Liaise directly with clients to resolve any payroll-related queries or concerns.
  • Review and approve payroll reports, including tax filings, pension contributions, and year-end processing.
  • Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations, including PAYE, NIC, and other statutory deductions.
  • Prepare and submit payroll-related reports, including tax filings, to relevant authorities.
  • Handle more complex payroll scenarios, including bonus structures, commissions, and various employee benefits.
  • Provide leadership and support to junior payroll staff, fostering a positive and productive team environment.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Senior, Payroll Supervisor or equivalent level.
  • Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, HMRC requirements, and pensions.
  • Experience with various payroll software systems (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, etc.).
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
