Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain steriliser and autoclave equipment in compliance with technical guidelines and safety standards.
  • Ensure all activities align with Health and Safety legislation, reporting hazards and acting as the Radiological Protection Supervisor (RPS) for irradiators.
  • Minimise downtime by addressing equipment failures promptly and taking emergency actions when required.
  • Prepare project schedules and cost estimates to improve manufacturing processes.
  • Adhere to statutory legislation and quality system requirements for process changes and initiation.
  • Identify and address performance issues through coordinated activities and implement improvements.
  • Pursue cost reduction opportunities to align with plant budget requirements.

About You:

  • Education: Degree or HNC in an engineering discipline; a management qualification is advantageous.
  • Experience: Proven engineering experience in a high-volume environment, ideally within medical device manufacturing, with expertise in control engineering.
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on experience in fault rectification, process innovation, and project management.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with planned maintenance, quality control, and Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead personnel, manage budgets, and adapt to change effectively.
