Due to our clients' continued growth and success, we have an exciting opening for a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join a fast-paced Civil Engineering contractor. This is a fantastic opportunity to be site based and join a small commercial team on a technically challenging civil engineering project.
As the role will be based at Devenport Dockyard (HMNB) we can only accept applicants that are either British or a NATO country national.
As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor, you will:
- Provide commercial support on pricing of both minor/small works and major schemes and frameworks.
- Review contract documentation, negotiating clauses, etc.
- Prepare, issue, and review subcontractor enquiries.
- Manage tender deadlines and deliverables and following contract award, assist in the mobilisation of key contracts and frameworks.
- Respond to customer enquiries and coordinate technical advice where required.
Our client requires a Graduate Quantity Surveyor with:
- HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying, or equivalent
- Knowledge of NEC 3&4 forms of contracts.
- Good communication skills, who can develop and maintain relations with prospective clients.
- Attention to detail and ability to interpret and understand contract amendments.
Salary/Benefits:
- Salary up to 33,000
- 25 days annual leave plus paid bank holidays
