Finance Assistant Plymouth, Devon£32,000 - £36,000 per annum
Our client, based in Plymouth, is currently seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join their finance team on a full-time, permanent basis. This position also offers the flexibility of hybrid working arrangements.
As the Finance Assistant, you will play a key role in providing comprehensive support to the finance function of the organisation.
The responsibilities:
- Maintain accounting systems and financial processes, ensuring compliance with legal regulations and company policies.
- Support internal and external audits, assisting in managing queries and addressing deficiencies.
- Assist the wider finance team and Management Accountants with reporting procedures and conduct cost-effective analyses as needed.
- Manage purchase and sales ledgers, including processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and maintaining supplier/customer relationships.
- Coordinate with Finance Assistants for timely payments and preparation of payment runs.
- Implement credit control procedures, including pursuing overdue accounts and maintaining records of actions taken.
The candidate:
- Experienced in supporting financial operations, and a solid background in accounting procedures
- Demonstrated proficiency in communication, capable of working both collaboratively within a team and independently with initiative.
- Strong expertise in time management and effective prioritisation of tasks.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications.
