About the RoleAre you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs to reach their full potential? We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our school community in Plymouth. This full-time, permanent role is available for an immediate start and provides a fantastic opportunity to work with students who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and other learning challenges in an inclusive and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Student-Centred Support: Deliver one-on-one and small-group support to SEN students, helping them engage with lessons and develop essential skills.
- IEP Implementation: Collaborate with teachers to follow and adapt Individual Education Plans (IEPs), tailoring support to meet each student's specific needs.
- Promote Positive Behaviour: Encourage constructive behaviour and assist students in building their social and emotional skills, contributing to a positive classroom atmosphere.
- Progress Monitoring: Track and report on student development, sharing valuable feedback with teachers and parents to support their growth.
- Experience: Previous experience in an SEN or related role is an advantage, but we welcome applicants who are committed to making a difference in the lives of children.
- Skills: Excellent communication, patience, adaptability, and a nurturing approach to working with students.
- Qualifications: GCSE Maths and English proficiency is preferred, though not essential for the right candidate.
