We are looking for an experienced and dynamicProcurement Supply Chain Leaderto join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of seven, overseeing material planning, indirect procurement, and plant maintenance stores. You will work closely with the Supply Chain Manager to drive the strategic direction of the department, ensuring key supply chain targets are met, including cost reduction, compliance, and continuous improvement.
While this role primarily requires onsite presence, there is flexibility for some home working. This position offers excellent career growth potential, with the opportunity to succeed the currentSupply Chain Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead all purchasing activities, including raw and indirect materials and Plant Maintenance stores.
Implement the site MRO strategy, reducing vendor numbers and enhancing supplier integration.
Collaborate with production operations to manage any warehouse or production changes affecting supply chain processes.
Ensure supplier compliance with corporate procedures, conducting regular audits and managing CAPA actions.
Provide quarterly Material Forecasts and update Finance on price changes impacting Purchase Price Variance (PPV).
Act as the subject matter expert for departmental audits and supply chain-related issues.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and lead process improvement initiatives to maximise value for money.
Manage compliance with HMRC Inward Processing and support Finance with audit requests and customs data.
About You:
Relevant professional qualifications such asMCIPSor equivalent are desirable.
Extensive experience insupply chain managementwithin a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to develop and manage multi-disciplined teams.
Expertise insupplier and customer relationship management, delivering measurable benefits.
Highly skilled inbusiness analysis, process improvement, and organisational transformation.
Strong working knowledge ofERP systems (preferably SAP)and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
