Are you a skilled Quantity Surveyor looking for your next challenge? Our client, a well-established and respected construction company, is seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of civil engineering and building projects in the East of Scotland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee cost management for civil engineering and building projects from inception to completion.
- Prepare and review tender documentation, cost estimates, and budgets.
- Monitor project financials, including cost control and forecasting.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered within budget and schedule.
- Manage contractual agreements, including negotiations and variations.
- Prepare valuations, progress reports, and final accounts.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, with a focus on civil engineering and building projects.
- Strong understanding of construction cost management and contract administration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Membership of a professional body (e.g., RICS) is desirable but not essential.
