Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
- Location: Pontefract
- Working Days: Every Wednesday and Thursday
- Start Date: Immediately after Easter
- End Date: Until the Summer Holidays
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) in YR3/4 at a primary school in Pontefract. This role is perfect for someone enthusiastic about education and eager to make a positive impact on young learners.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Work with small groups and individual students to provide targeted support.
- Assist in the planning and preparation of learning activities.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the class teacher.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Supervise students during break times and other activities as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience working with primary school children, particularly in Year 3/4.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
