Part-Time SEN Teaching Assistant (Mornings Only) - Featherstone

Accelerate Teaching is looking for an experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant (TA) to support a primary school in Featherstone, working one-on-one with a child who presents with behavioural challenges. This part-time role is for mornings only, 5 days a week, starting as soon as possible and continuing until at least Christmas 2024.

In this role, you will work closely with the class teacher and SEN team to provide personalised support, ensuring the child can engage in learning and helping them manage their behaviour in a constructive and supportive way. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with children with SEN, particularly in managing behavioural difficulties.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the academic and emotional development of the child.
  • Implementing behaviour management strategies in line with the school's policies.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Regular communication with teaching staff and parents to monitor progress.
